X’s pace is genuinely different from other platforms
A post on X has a shorter effective lifespan in most people's feeds than a post on Instagram or LinkedIn. The timeline moves fast, and a post from earlier in the day is quickly buried. That is why advice for X tends to recommend a higher frequency than advice for other platforms. It is a response to how the feed behaves, not an arbitrary rule.
Frequency without substance reads as noise
Posting often only helps if each post is still worth someone's attention. A string of low-effort posts to hit a number trains followers to scroll past the account. The goal is enough real posts to stay visible across the day, not volume for its own sake.
Threads extend the life of a single idea
A single post that would otherwise disappear quickly can be expanded into a thread: several connected posts building on one idea. A thread holds attention longer and gives an idea more room than one post's character limit allows. A worthwhile idea often earns more from being developed into a thread than from being split across several unrelated single posts.
