A generic best time is an average across accounts unlike yours
Any specific hour quoted as the universal best time to post on Instagram is an average pulled from a large, unrelated pool of accounts: different audiences, different time zones, different niches. Applying that average to one account is a guess, not a measured fact about it.
Feed and Reels behave differently, so timing matters differently for each
A feed post is shown mostly to your existing followers in something closer to a chronological-influenced order, so posting when your followers are active matters more for a feed post. Reels are distributed more broadly through a recommendation system to people who don’t yet follow you. That makes the posting hour less decisive for a Reel. The content itself carries more of the weight.
Check your own Insights instead of a generic chart
Instagram's own Insights shows when your specific followers are active. That is a far more reliable source than a generic industry chart, since it reflects your real audience rather than an average of unrelated ones. Post consistently around that window, adjust based on real results over time, and you can stop chasing a new "ideal time" article every month.
