How to build a media kit

A media kit answers a brand's questions before they have to ask: real numbers, real audience data, and real past results, in one document a creator controls.

What needs to be in it

A working media kit is short and specific. Most of its value comes from a handful of fields:

  • Real, current follower and engagement numbers per platform, not rounded-up estimates
  • Basic audience demographics, where available from native analytics
  • A short list of past brand partnerships or results, with genuine specifics
  • A rate card or a range, so a brand has a real starting point for budget

Real numbers matter more than an impressive layout

A polished design with rounded-up or outdated numbers undermines trust the moment a brand checks the real figures. Accuracy matters more here than visual polish. A brand evaluating a partnership will often verify the numbers against the platform's own public data.

Keep it current, not built once and forgotten

A media kit with stale numbers from months or years ago undersells a creator whose audience has grown since. Update it on a regular cadence, tied to the same rhythm as reviewing rates, and it stays an asset rather than an artifact from an earlier stage of the account.
