Because Threads rewards in-the-moment conversation over polished, pre-written copy, a calendar that pre-writes every post word-for-word weeks in advance produces content that reads as stiff as it is. Plan a topic or a rough angle ahead of time, then write the post closer to when it goes out.
Build in room for genuine replies to other accounts
A calendar focused entirely on original posts misses a real part of how Threads works. Replying to other accounts in your field is a legitimate, planned part of a presence there, not an afterthought between original posts.
A realistic weekly structure
A workable starting shape for most accounts:
- A short list of topics or opinions worth posting about that week, sketched out in advance
- A few slots reserved for replying to other accounts, not pre-planned in detail
- One recurring format, a weekly recap or a running series, to give the account a predictable shape
