How to repurpose content for LinkedIn

The reframing that matters most is tone. Content built for a casual platform needs a more considered angle before it works on LinkedIn.

Reframe around the lesson, not just the moment

A quick, casual clip that works fine elsewhere often needs an added layer of context on LinkedIn: what it demonstrates, and what someone should take away from it. The raw moment alone reads as out of place. The explanation around it is what makes it fit.

Turn a long piece into a native document

An article, a report, or a long thread with a clear structure often converts well into a short slide-style document post, since that format tends to hold attention longer than a plain text repost of the same material. Breaking the source into five or six focused slides usually works better than a single dense one.

Adjust the opening line specifically for LinkedIn

Only the first couple of lines show before a "see more" tap, so the opening has to work on its own regardless of where the rest of the content came from. Rewrite it for LinkedIn rather than reusing whatever hook worked on the source platform.
