A pillar here is often a format, not just a topic
A recurring series, with the same intro, the same structure, and the same recognizable bit each time, builds a following faster on TikTok than a general commitment to a broad subject area. Viewers come to recognize the format itself, not just the topic.
A workable starting set
A reasonable mix for a small business or creator new to the platform:
- A recurring "how it's made" or process series
- Quick tips or myths related to your field, delivered fast
- Genuine reactions or opinions on something happening in your industry
- Real customer or audience moments, filmed as they happen rather than staged
Give a new pillar a real trial before dropping it
A single low-performing video in a new pillar is not evidence that the pillar does not work. A handful of attempts, filmed with some real effort, is a fairer test than judging a format off its first try.
