Publer alternatives, compared

Publer’s Free plan covers 3 social accounts, not X, with 10 scheduled posts each. Twenty-one alternatives compared by channel cap.

The short answer

Publer’s Free plan is “free forever” with 1 user, 1 workspace and “3 social accounts (except 𝕏)”, according to its plans page. Each account can hold 10 scheduled posts at a time, published posts are kept for 24 hours, and X connects only on a paid plan. Paid plans are sized by the number of social accounts you choose, with every tenth account free.

People look for an alternative when they need X on a free plan, want more than 10 posts queued per account, want their posting history kept, or would rather not pay more each time they add a channel.

The table further down compares twenty-one alternatives by how many channels their entry plan allows, read from each vendor’s own pricing page on the date shown. PostEase, which publishes this comparison, has no channel cap on any plan, the free one included.

Publer’s plans, in its own words

Publer prices by social accounts and members: you choose how many of each, and the price follows. Its page counts “2 Facebook pages and 1 Instagram account” as 3 social accounts. Prices are left out here on purpose: they change too often, and differ by billing period and currency, to compare fairly.

Why people leave Publer

For one person posting to a few accounts, Publer’s Free plan does a lot. The reasons people look elsewhere are mostly about fit:

  • No X on Free. Publer’s page says you cannot connect Twitter / X accounts in the free version.
  • 10 scheduled posts per account. A week of daily posts to one account fills most of it.
  • 24 hours of history on Free. Published posts are stored for a day, so there is no record to look back on.
  • Priced per account. Each channel you add raises the price, though every tenth is free.

What to compare

Before choosing, check the things that change what you pay and what you do every day:

  • Channels: how many the plan you would buy allows, and what the next one costs.
  • Platforms: whether the platforms you post to are live for publishing, not only listed.
  • Queue: how many posts you can schedule ahead, per account or in total.
  • History: how long published posts and their numbers are kept.
  • Inbox: whether comments and messages from every channel arrive in one place you can reply from.
  • Leaving: whether you can bring your existing calendar, and cancel without contacting anyone.

How PostEase compares, honestly

PostEase has no channel cap on any plan and no price per seat. Free includes every channel, 10 scheduled posts a month, publishing and the inbox; Creator, at $15 a month, adds Studio for video, Ideas, Automations, full Performance and the media kit. YouTube, X, LinkedIn (personal profile), Pinterest, Bluesky, and WordPress publishing are live today; Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Threads are pending each platform's own API approval.

If you rely on post recycling, RSS automations or competitor analysis, compare those carefully: Publer lists them, and PostEase is built around your own posts. If you post to the live platforms and want scheduling, the inbox, video editing and a link-in-bio page in one place without a channel limit, PostEase is built for that.

Moving your calendar from Publer

PostEase imports any CSV of scheduled posts with a caption and a date column. The upload guesses the rest, shows each column it matched for you to confirm, reads both ISO and US date formats, and brings the posts in as drafts, up to 500 rows a file, even before every channel is reconnected.
