The short answer
Meta Business Suite is Meta’s own workspace for running a business or creator presence across its apps. From one place you can schedule Facebook and Instagram posts, stories and reels, answer messages and comments, read insights and run simple ads.
Meta’s Business Help Center says it “helps small businesses and creators centrally manage their business and online presence across Meta technologies, such as Facebook, Instagram, Threads and WhatsApp,” and that it “is free to use on desktop and in the Meta Business Suite mobile app.” It needs a business portfolio: the container that holds your Page, Instagram account and the people with access.
What it does
From Meta’s Business Help Center:
| Area | What Meta describes |
|---|---|
| Planner and calendar | Create, schedule and manage Facebook and Instagram content, seen in a calendar view |
| Content | Posts, stories and reels; A/B tests of two versions; saved ideas; AI help with ideas |
| Inbox | Messages and comments from a Facebook Page, Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp Business, with automations |
| Insights | Trends, activity on your content and audience information |
| Ads | Quick ads and boosted posts, with Ads Manager for detailed campaigns |
| Creators | A creator marketplace to find Instagram creators for a brand |
Scheduling in Business Suite
On desktop, choose Create post, pick where it goes (a Facebook Page, an Instagram profile or a Facebook Group), add media and text, which you can adjust for Facebook and Instagram, and set a date and time under Scheduling options. An Active times option suggests times from when your followers were most active over the past 7 days. Instagram posts take up to 10 photos.
Scheduled posts can then be edited, rescheduled, moved to drafts, duplicated or deleted from the Content tab, which sorts them into Published, Scheduled, Drafts, Expiring and Expired.
Cross-posting between Meta’s apps
A post made in Business Suite can go to more than one Meta destination at once:
| Made as | Can also go to |
|---|---|
| Facebook post | Facebook Stories, Instagram Feed, Facebook Groups, Threads |
| Instagram post | Facebook Feed, Instagram Stories, Facebook Groups, Threads |
| Instagram reel | Instagram Stories, Facebook Reels, Facebook Groups |
| Facebook reel | Facebook Stories, Instagram Reels, Facebook Groups |
| Stories | The other app’s Stories |
Where it stops
Meta’s own pages set out the boundaries:
- It is built for Meta technologies: Meta names Facebook, Instagram, Threads and WhatsApp.
- Cross-posting to Threads is available on desktop only.
- You need a business portfolio, with your Page and Instagram account connected in it, and the right access to post.
- Detailed ad campaigns move to Ads Manager.
Business Suite and PostEase
PostEase puts every platform on one calendar, including YouTube, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Bluesky, X and WordPress, with one inbox and one place for performance. If most of your audience is on Meta’s apps, Business Suite is the free, native choice there; PostEase is for running Meta beside everything else. YouTube, X, LinkedIn (personal profile), Pinterest, Bluesky, and WordPress publishing are live today; Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Threads are pending each platform's own API approval.
