The short answer
Meta Creator Marketplace is where brands find Instagram creators to work with. Instagram’s Help Center says it “helps creators connect with brands to partner on branded content and partnership ads.” A creator joins from the professional dashboard; brands search from Meta’s Creator Marketing Hub in Meta Business Suite or Ads Manager.
To join, Instagram says a creator must be at least 18, have a professional, public account with at least 1,000 followers, and agree to Meta’s partner monetization policies. Once in, brands can see your posts and insights such as average reach and follower count, and message you in a separate Partnership messages folder.
Eligibility
From Instagram’s Help Center:
| Requirement | What Instagram says |
|---|---|
| Age | At least 18 |
| Account | A professional (business or creator), public Instagram account |
| Followers | At least 1,000 |
| Policies | Agree to Meta’s partner monetization policies |
| Where | Countries where Meta advertising operates; not Crimea, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria or Russia |
How to join
In the Instagram app, open your Professional dashboard, tap Branded content, then Join creator marketplace. Instagram says that if you do not see the option, the feature is not available to you yet. Accepting makes information about you and your insights visible to brands and turns on the Partnership messages folder; then you accept the terms. Some creators receive an invitation at the top of their profile or feed instead.
Once you have joined, you can set up a creator portfolio and choose preferred brand partners. Brands you select see you under Interested creators when they search, and may message you directly. You can opt out at any time from Partner discovery settings, and join again later.
What each side sees
The marketplace has two doors, one for creators and one for brands:
| Side | Where they work | What they can do |
|---|---|---|
| Creator | Instagram app, Professional dashboard, Branded content | Join or opt out, build a portfolio, pick preferred brands, read partnership messages, find branded content projects |
| Brand | Creator Marketing Hub in Meta Business Suite or Ads Manager | Discover creators, see their content and insights, send partnership requests and messages, run campaigns, find organic branded content to boost as partnership ads |
Disclosure stays your job
Instagram reminds creators who join to “always disclose your branded content with the paid partnership label.” A deal found through the marketplace is still branded content, and the label is how viewers know it.
Getting chosen
Brands judge you on what the marketplace shows them, so the profile does the selling:
- Fill in your creator portfolio, so brands know the content you like to make.
- Pick preferred brand partners in your niche, so you appear under Interested creators.
- Keep recent posts in the style you want to be hired for; brands see what you have posted.
- Keep a media kit for brands you meet outside the marketplace. In PostEase, the media kit is a public page with the numbers your connected accounts report, each with its source and date.
